
Emre Akinci was born in Izmir/Turkey in 1977. Graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration of Marmara University in 1999. He continued his studies with an M.B.A. in Istanbul Bilgi University and following that achieved his PhD. Ukrainian History in Kyiv PK University Ukraine. He is fluent in Turkish as well as English and Russian.
Emre Akinci started his career at HSBC (Demir) Securities and continued as an Investment Executive at Sumer Securities, Meksa Securities and at Yapi Kredi Securities, a Koc Holding company (1997-2004).
He moved to Kiev/Ukraine in 2005 as the Country Manager of Design Time International. His responsibilities in this position encompassed managing the retail stores as well as a large scale of sales organization of Ralph Lauren Home, Henredon, Century, Hartman, Marge Carson, Stanley, Fine Art Lamps and other premium European and American furniture retail brands until 2014.
In the course of this venture, he completed many stores, offices, villas and residences projects of several reputable corporations, including ING Bank, Turkcell LIFE, Metro Cash & Carry, Credit Europe Bank, Renaissance Construction, Gloria Jeans Coffee and many private investors.
In 2015, Emre Akinci assumed the position of Director of Sales and Marketing of Astas Real Estate Investment & Tourism Holding, responsible for the Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum and Macka Residences Interior Design by Armani/Casa Managed by Kempinski in Istanbul. He developed and implemented the company’s overall sales & marketing activities for the domestic and international markets in Turkey, the UK, Middle East and CIS countries.
He founded M2 Real Estate company in 2020, to provide luxury real estate sales, marketing and project consultancy services for high-income individuals, investors and developers primarily in Turkey and CIS countries.
Through his company M2 Real Estate since mid 2022, he has been providing strategic and hands-on support, both in a consultancy capacity and in operation roles for residential and mixed-use real estate projects. His responsibilities include project positioning, concept, branding and marketing, as well as structuring sales functions and operations. He also assumes responsibility for market-aligned product strategies and brand positioning for new premium residential developments. Some of these include a large-scale branded hotel & residences mixed-use project currently being developed by a private fund on a 600,000 sqm site in Demirbuku, Bodrum, as well as 380,000 sqm mixed-use project in Izmir, Turkey.
